AHIP Login Guide: Portal Access and Troubleshooting for Plan Year 2027

How to log in to the AHIP Medicare training portal, why the discount link you start from matters, and how to fix locked accounts, lost passwords, and missing score transmissions.

AHIP Login Guide: Portal Access and Troubleshooting for Plan Year 2027

Most agents searching for the AHIP login just want into the Medicare training portal. The portal is at ahipmedicaretraining.com, and existing users sign in with their NPN or email as the username. The problems that actually slow people down come after that: starting from the wrong link, recovering a locked account, getting a passed score to carriers, and finding the certificate. This guide covers each one for Plan Year 2027.

If you want to know what the training itself covers and how it fits with your license and appointments, that lives in our AHIP certification guide. This page stays on access and troubleshooting.

Before you log in and pay, get the discount link from your carrier, FMO, or upline. AHIP training costs $175 at full price, and carrier and FMO links commonly reduce it to $125. The discount applies only when you start from the link. If you log in directly and pay full price first, the discount usually cannot be applied afterward. Pricing details are in our AHIP cost guide.

The link matters for more than price. Starting from a carrier's link can also set up transmission of your completed score to that carrier. Ask your upline or carrier for their AHIP link before you begin, and use it from the first click.

How to Access the AHIP Training Portal

AHIP's Medicare training runs through its online portal at ahipmedicaretraining.com. You reach it either directly or through a carrier or FMO discount link.

If you trained in a prior year, log in with the same account. Your username is your NPN or the email you registered with, and your training history carries over. If you are new, create an account before starting the current plan year's training. Either way, confirm the address bar shows AHIP's own training site before entering payment or personal details.

Common Login Problems

Forgotten password. Use the "Forgot your password?" link on the login page. The reset email can take a few minutes and sometimes lands in spam, so check there before requesting another.

Forgotten username. Your username is your NPN or the email you registered with, so try your NPN first. The login page also has a "Forgot your username?" link. If you are not sure which email you used in a prior year, try the ones you commonly use for business before contacting support.

Account locked. Repeated failed attempts can lock an account. Stop retrying, use the password reset, and contact AHIP support if you still cannot get in.

Two accounts by mistake. If you accidentally created a second account, do not complete training on it. Contact AHIP support to sort it out first, because a completion sitting on the wrong account can complicate score transmission to your carriers.

For anything you cannot resolve from the login page, AHIP's technical support is at 866.234.6909 or Support@AHIPInsuranceEducation.org.

Transmitting Your Score to Carriers

Your completion has to reach each carrier you plan to sell for. The portal is built to send your training score to multiple carriers, and starting from a carrier's discount link often sets this up for that carrier, though not always.

After you pass, confirm inside the portal that your score is set to transmit to the carriers you need, then verify on each carrier's side that it arrived. Do not assume it flowed through. A missing score transmission is a common reason an agent believes they are certified while the carrier still shows them as incomplete. Carriers also set their own completion deadlines ahead of AEP, so confirm the date each of your carriers requires.

Retrieving Your Certificate

Once you pass, your certificate of completion is available in the portal. Download a copy and save it with your own records, even when your score transmits to carriers automatically. If a carrier ever shows you as not certified, the saved certificate is the fastest way to resolve it.

Keeping a Team Ready for AEP

For one agent, AHIP access is a bookmark and a saved password. For an agency, every producer resets each year, and a single stalled login or untransmitted score can leave someone unable to sell when AEP opens. InsureTrek tracks license status, appointments, and readiness for every producer in one place, so a gap surfaces before enrollment season instead of during it. Alerts flag what is expiring, and appointments tracking shows where each producer stands with each carrier. Book a demo to see how it fits your agency.
