Transfers and Offboarding

Producers leave. They move to another agency, they go independent, or they stop selling. Until now, that ending was tidier in theory than in InsureTrek.

Offboarding is now a real action rather than a deletion. Offboard a producer and their record closes, but their licensing history stays intact — what they held, when it was applied for, what it cost. If they come back, you reactivate them instead of onboarding a stranger who happens to have the same NPN.

A producer who leaves your agency but keeps selling can move to an individual producer account, so their licenses follow them rather than stranding in a record nobody owns. Their renewals keep working through the transition.

Transfers between carriers and uplines are handled in the same motion, including the paperwork side. When a producer moves, the contracting relationships that move with them are part of the flow rather than something you reconstruct afterward.

Offboarded producers drop off your subscription, so you stop paying for people who have left. That happens on offboarding rather than at the next billing review.

The through-line is that leaving is now a state a producer can be in, not a hole where a producer used to be.
