Cleaner Onboarding: Addresses, Background Questions, and Offboarding

Verified addresses, background questions that remember your answers, and a real way to offboard producers.

Onboarding is where most of the tedium in licensing lives. This release attacks three parts of it.

Addresses that validate themselves

Address fields now verify against real postal data as you type and offer matches rather than accepting anything. Bad addresses are one of the most common reasons a state rejects an application, and they're much harder to enter now. You can still enter one manually when the validator doesn't recognize a valid address.

Background questions that hold their answers

Background questions save as you go, so a long form survives an interruption. Answers carry across producers where the question is the same, questions that don't apply are hidden rather than shown and disabled, and supporting documents attach to the question that needs them.

Offboarding

Producers can be offboarded individually or in bulk by NPN. Offboarding releases their state assignments so you stop carrying licenses for someone who has left, and the record stays rather than disappearing.

Other improvements

  • SSN and NPN fields validate their format before submission instead of after
  • Phone numbers are checked during bulk onboarding
  • Employment history end dates behave correctly
