What has been most important to us as we've been building Insuretrek is trying to keep things as simple as possible. It really annoys us that virtually every other licensing management system requires a ton of handholding and upfront work before you can start using the tool. Worst of all, that normally comes at a cost.
So we're really excited to introduce our completely revamped, self-service onboarding. Now anybody can sign up for an account, add a credit card, and start automating their non-residential license applications and renewals.
Why doesn't everyone do this?
Other systems aren't doing this because, well, it's not actually that easy. In order to automate all of this, we need to do a few things:
1. We need to be able to verify who you are.
2. We need to be able to quickly pull your existing licensing information and understand your current status for all of the jurisdictions we support.
3. We need to get you into the app so that you immediately know what to do.
We understand why other systems require an onboarding process before you can get started. Licensing can be really complicated. But we strive to make it as simple as possible and save you as much time as we can. And we extend that to your very first experience with Insuretrek.
How it works
We start by having you pick whether you're setting up an agency or individual producer, and fill in your NPN.
The very first thing we do is verify your email. We do that by using the contact information in the NIPR database so that we can guarantee you are adding an account that you have access to. (Note: if you run into issues here, our team is always happy to help.)
After that, we'll guide you through adding a payment method so that both your monthly service fee and all of your license applications can go through automatically. We use Stripe, so you know that your payments are processed efficiently and securely.
Lastly, we'll show you all of the information we pulled for your profile, ask you to fill out anything that's missing, and then send you into the app with all of your information ready to go.
What's next
We are using the information to try to make your experiences as easy as possible. And right now, we're working on extending a lot of these automations to adding new producers to your teams and managing all of your agency licenses.
